Default Got my Strange Brakes from Billingsley Got ?

On the fronts:

Do I need to use wheel studs provided or can I use the ARP ones I have? Lugnut issue. 1/2" vs 12mm

Will I need to trim the BMR lower control arm or is that just the factory one?

On the rears:

With a Moser 12 bolt wheree do the spacers go and are they needed?

If I need to use the 1/2" studs in front, how hard would it be to got 1/2" in the back? That way I can keep the same lug size.

The directions for the front are OK. For the rear they suck.

Thanks for any help.

You will need to trim he lower ball joint cup on our a arms. The cut needs to like pie cut on a 45 on the ball joint cup next to the rotor. If you have any other questions about it fee free to ask!!

The shims on the rear go between the caliper and the backing plate to space the pads an equal distance from the rotor on each side. You REALLY NEED TO DO THIS for the brakes to function properly. The pistons in the calipers don't travel far and they MUST be equally spaced from the rotor. You will pull your hair out getting this done, but it is worth it.

Can you take some pics while you are installing the fronts? Mainly of any modifications you have to do. How much weight do you thibk you are saving? I think I'm going to be doing this next month or so. Thanks

Clarification on the spacers. I am looking at axle spacers.

The Strange hub on the front is tapped for the 1/2" studs they supply so you're locked into those, just change the rears to match.

I had to use the spacers with my Moser 9", not sure about the 12 bolt. If you slide your axle assembly in and put the Strange backing plate over it and the axle is able to move in/out then you'll need the bearing spacer. I'm pretty sure the spacer will go in first if needed.

spacers go between the bearing and housing end, pop the axle out, put the spacer in the axle tube and put the axle/bearing back in.

You will see how the strange caliper mount fits on the bearing when you are all done.

Got it. I was thinking that the spacer needed to be on the axle prior to pressing the bearing on. Good to know that's not the case.

If I remember right, I couldn't use the spacer because there was to much in and out movement on the axle with it in. Nice thing using the strange setup, you don't need the backing plate or anything on first before pressing the bearing on.
