Default Mini Tub question

I have been looking at the wolf minitub and have a few questions.

will it do me any good to have a minitub without a narrowed rear? What's the widest tallest tire can I fit? what back spacing? what wheel size? if it needs to be narrowed, what is involved in that if I already have a moser 12 bolt?

You'll need to have the rear narrowed because you won't be able to get a wheel with enough backspacing. You'd have to send the back to Moser or find a racing shop that can shorten it for you. I'd say you should be able to run a 15x12 wheel with the minitub and narrowed rear.

A 15x12 with 7.5 bs will stick out the side of the car 1" more than a 15x10 with the same bs. It depends on how you want the wheel to sit on the fender. If you want it in the same location as a 15x10 with 7.5bs then you would narrow it 2".

So would you narrow 3" if you wanted 15x12's?
Is 3" the most you can go?

3 is the most you can go with and keep the factory mounting locations on suspension

Thanks.
So what is the average cost for narrowing a moser 12 bolt 3" counting axles?

If your buying the rearend at the time you have it narrowed its only about $50 more. If you've already got the rear it could cost you a couple hundred dollars. I ordered mine from Exotic Performance Plus and had it narrowed then. I actually don't think I paid any extra for it, or they were just having a good sale and it averaged out to the normal cost of a 9"

not true, do a search for worm boy's 12 bolt. its narrowed like 5" per side and used stock pickup points. that may be the extreme but it is using factory mounting locations.

Moser quoted me 100 to harrow and 150 to respline and shorten the axels. 140 to gun drill and 100 to star flange if I remember correct.

Could you move the lower control arms over for more clearence? could't you make a new location for the front mount on the lca? and also the spring if needed?

you can run the offset lca to move them over more but if you relocate the mounting brackets you eliminate yourself out of alot of the stock suspension class and the drag radial classes.
