Detailed Description
The GM front cover assembly is manufactured for application where a 4-bbl carburetor and distributor are required. It can be combined with GM's new Bowtie valve covers p/n 25534398 & 25534399 for a complete traditional looking engine package.

Congrats on getting in the 8.80's with what little traction you had.

I forgot to mention that air fuel was only 10.5:1, which leaves about 75RWHP on the table and we still have at least another 10lbs of boost to play with

I am going to try running a 30x12.5 ET Street in 2 weeks to see if we can hook any easier...
Stay tuned!

I can understand why some people might think my setup is old school or a step backwards.... I myself did not quite understand the reasoning at 1st... And for 99.9% of the LSx cars out there this setup would not make sense.... However, my builder chose this route for several reasons.... That's all I am allowed to say

Again, kickass results. I was talking to Chip Havemann at the NMCA race, and he is a fan of 10.3 - 10.8:1 AF ratios, he ran Outlaw 10.5 and went repeatedly in the 7's on a 28x10.5 tire, and just sold the car. He said the richer AF keeps the engine alive.

From a reliability point of view, my biggest concern is the GM truck block...

I could still see using Coil Packs on a turbo car, because they still do not have to turn any kind of CRAZY RPM.
For us N/A guys, the coil packs have a hard time keeping up at 9,000++ RPM.
Nice times and nice car. Hope you get everything worked out and really knock out some NICE numbers!

A digital 7 has lots of features in it that will help a limited traction setup such as his be able to get down a slick track consistently..
