i think i got 15000, out of a set of mine. but that wasn't going to the track because they were my street tires. They hook really well for a drag radial. just don't run around below or @ 20psi on the street for long periods of time. or the tread will start to seperate from the sidewall. it will crack all the way around the outside edge of the tire.

I have a local guy suggesting to run them around 10-15 psi, because they are a "wrinkle wall" Does this have any validity? The tech I was talking to helps maintain a 6.5 altered... so I think he would know.

no radial should be considered a "wrinkle wall" lol. also, they shouldn't be run at anything lower than 14psi without screws or beadlocks. and becuase they're a radial - i wouldn't suggest going much lower than that becuase the centers will cup inward.
i used to cut low 1.5x 60's with the 28" drag radial set at 19psi. 275/60/r15.
so i would think you should start off in the high teens for psi, 5 second burnout, ride it out until you're clear of any water. stage the car do NOT dry hop it.
what i used to do w/ my auto car was i'd hold the brake and give it a few rpms to take any slack out of the drivetrain - then let off. the best results are usually seen off idle "flashing" the conveter.
