Question How to remove backing plates? Tried search nothing!!

Hey guys just wanted to know how to remove the Backing plates off my car, I am sure I could figure it out but would rather just know what to do so it will get done quicker!! I need to get them off so I can send them to Strange for the new rear!!

...you gotta take the axles out first... then just unbolt them from the housing.

Ok this may sound stupid but I have never messed with a rearend, everything else on the car I have!!! But anyway how do you remove an axle

Ok this may sound stupid but I have never messed with a rearend, everything else on the car I have!!! But anyway how do you remove an axle
Pull the cover, press the axle in towards the pumpkin. Get a pair of pliers, or magnet and grab the c-clips. Once both clips are out, pull the axles straight out.

Just unbolt the rear cover, spin the carrier till you see a 8mm bolt.. take it easy on it or you can strip it..

Remove it, remove the "thing" that the bolt is hodling in place, then, push the axles inward and you will hear how the C-Clips fall into the housing.. then just pull the axle out..

I think your axle has a wedge instead of a pin that the 8mm bolt holds in
