would this pass tech??? Sorry I don't hae pics right now but let me try to explain it...
I got a set of 275 60 15 (28") M/t drag radials already mounted to a set of Draglites I bought from a local F-body guy who lets say didn't do the smartest things to his car...
Well he was using these with a spool on the street, and the car was lowered slightly and didn't have adjustable suspension, or if it did he didn't center the rear, and they rubbed the fenderlip pretty good. From the looks of it and what he told me he only drove it to the track had 3-4 races and drove home and when he took them off found the edges scored... The amount of tread left seems to go with that, but I wonder if the scoring fromt he fenderlip will pass tech? They hold air no problem and fit my car with no rubbing, I wouldn't think it would be an issue but some tech guys are tough...
The scoring is just under the tread blocks, and don't goin more then 2MM, but I don't want the guys to think they are cut. I will get pics later, but wondering if other guys had scored tires due to rubbing and if they got through tech...

As you mentioned, some tracks are tougher than others on enforcing stuff to the letter of the IHRA/NHRA rulebook, so it's all in how strict they want to be.
