bogart owners...
bogart owners... I have a question for anyone that's running bogart rims... what lenth studs did you get to replace your stockers? I'm trying to get the last couple things done so I can get thru tech without any hassles this year... I'm looking at the 12mm ARP studs that thunder has, and they have 2 lenth's available, a 2.5 inch and a 3.25 inch. I do believe the 12mm is stock size, so that will work for my bogarts with the shank style lugs I already have and my street wheels, but I'm not sure which lenth to get. The 2.5 seems like it would be too short, so I was gonna just order the 3.25 lenth ones... but wanted to ask here first. With the spacers that my bogarts have welded to the inside of the rim, I suspect the 3.25's may actually be a little too long, if I remember correctly, I have 1.75 inch long shank lugs on the front, and 1.5 long on the rear.
Here's a couple shots of my ARP 1/2" x 3" studs. The 3" measurement is from the seat of the stud to the end of the threads. The unthreaded tip that's extending past the lug adds another 1/2" to the overall lenght for a total of 3.5".

I bought the 3.25 for the front and with the shank lugs I have maybe 3 or 4 threads sticking out.
Worst comes to worst you could cut the 3.25 down to size.
I have 1/2" strange hardware in the back, don't know the length.

I;m probably gonna buy the 3.25's then.. thanks guys. Better too long then too short. Will look a little funny with the Z06 wheels on, but I'd rather have that then have problems with tech.
The 2.5" will work fine and be lighter,bogart lugs take a .750 shank lug with the welded
on spacers for our cars.Much smaller than the 1.375 shank lugs for welds but not quite
as small as the .490 shank lugs for cenerline convo pros.

I have the longer ARP studs, and they just barely pass, with the required "diameter length" going in to the hex threaded portion of the nut.
My only issue is that I'm going back to street wheels, and need to find covers for the studs now.

that was a semi concern, the lugs will be hanging out of my z06 wheels alot, but I figure teh gold plating on the lugs won't look that bad, and if anyone asks why they are that way, I'll tell them to talk to the local NHRA inspector LOL.
