I think this is one of the easiest ways to mount these seats...

My seat's abotu on the floor, 2 washers on eash stud then the seat. I did grind the bolt and the stud down a little bit, and with the seatcover on, I can't feel the bolts at all.

I would deffently gusset up the square tubing with either roll cage gussets or something.. You always have to prepare for the worst...I built the seat mounts when I was at Team RedBull..... you guys should try mounting a 30,000 dollar Hendrick composite seat...55 pounds with no insert... and only the window to get it in and out of the car... The link posted for next racing has the right idea.. but I would use better materials... but then again no one has the tools.....

I crawled my fat *** into the car and sat in the seat while it was flat on the ground....holy ****, way more comfortable. And I have more leg room (6'4") then ever. Mounting it to the rollbar wont be a problem, but I'm still looking at having to fab up something for floor. I only race on grudge nights, but I still want to say "I walked away" if anything happens. A seat coming loose during a rollover sounds like a broken neck to me.

Told ya that was way better for a bigger guy I think with the seat attached with 2 of the factory studs and on the rollbar, I doubt like hell the seat would ever come loose. Ya coudl fab somethign small up to attach the 5 pt harness, and the front of the seat to the other 2 studs I guess, but with the seat bolted in with 4 bolts, when I climb in the seat doesn't even think about moving at all, it feels solid as a rock. That with the 5 pt seatbelt, I don't think you have anything to worry about really.

here's a link to the other thread that has the pic's in it with my seat mounted right to the factory floor studs, and me sitting in the car on one of the pic's to show the positioning a little better. Me @ 6'3 and 280, it's way more comfortable then it was with the stock seats.
