Default QA1 coilover question?

Hello everybody. I am getting a set of QA1 HAL coilovers for my car, but in the F series. I was wondering if this was any better for drag racing when compared to a regular bilstein and prokit combo? I don't want the R series since this is the car i use as my daily driver. Also what spring rate should i get? Thanks.

The "R"s are better for drag racing as they have fixed firm compression & adjustable extension. I have the "R"s w/ 275lb springs on my 99 Z and I daily drive the car everyday. (Set at the softest setting all of the time too)

how is the handling of the QA1 R's when they are firmed up? can you actually do any hard cornering or no?

so the QA1 F series is no good for drag racing?

I have the F series on my car now, but will soon be switching to R series. With the F series set at the lowest setting the car comes up fast in the front, but then takes a nose dive. Having the fixed compression will help transfer weight to the rear tires, and keep it there.

cool guys, Thanks! I am getting a used set actually for a pretty good price (QA1 HAL F series) i think the QA1 and HAL is the same deal correct? but yeah, how would i be able to tell if they are in good condition? The guy says they've been on the car for 20k miles, no leaks, etc. What else should i look at to see if the shocks are in good condition? Thanks

I would get the R's but i daily drive the car and i like taking some corners hard occasionally so i guess i have to find a good balance between drag and good handling. I guess the F series is as good as its gonna get for both? Maybe i'll try some different front springs..i believe he said he had the 300lb. spring in the front coilovers..
