The trouble I had with the ET Street Radials was they are too stiff on the sidewall and were far too harsh or violent on the launch. This condition was followed by 2 hops of the tires as the clutch and tansmission speed matched and then excessive harshness on shifts. I felt the ET Street slicks were far better for a 2.52 low gear and 4.11 rear end in my 55 Chevy. I will admit I never played with the air pressure. I was too discusted with the way they drove down the track and abuse of parts already. I think they would be great for a footbreak auto trans car though.

The car runs 12.90s on the ET Street Slicks.

exactly.
1.6 short times is nothing to laugh at, but even the hint of anything in the 50's and the tires performance starts to go downhill.
as i said in my previous post, there are people that can make them work, weather good driving skills, or just lucky.
