Hawkn that pic was at 18lbs. I started raising the pressure and the 60 is getting better. The tire works killer but the new shocks are allowing it to stay planted. The radial is very stable down track the only thing I have seen is they are not forgiving. If they spin the pass is over with.

i am glad real tuners are showing it can be done at higher psi. i have been saying this for a while but my car is FAR from quick compared to others. i have gone as low as 14 psi on the same tire and the results are very hit and miss. i have run them at 20-21 psi and they hooked and mph'ed better.

I have always been a proponent of higher air pressures. Most people run their bias ply stuf with too little air. The new radial technology WANTS high air pressure.

Brian, did you guys experiance any tire shake at the lower pressure ? My radial slicks would induce tire shake on launch at 20psi with my combo at 3045lbs. Added a few lbs and the tire shake was gone. My starting point is 22lbs and adjust to conditions from there.
Since the car your working on is a heavyweight at 3600+lbs, I would think it would take even more psi.

i have experienced nasty tire shake on my m/t radials at low psi. but i am only going 1.38-1.37 60' at 3600 lbs.

what does killing trannys have to do with tire shake?
