Default 325 MT drg radials

Last nite with our twin turbo LT1 we laid the hurt to a set of 325/15 drag radials. These tires are killer. The car ran a 1.28 60 ft with the rear tires. Looking at the pics the tires touched down about 80ft out. Looks like a little more boost down low and she will be ready.

i love the fact some are putting the combos together to run a "small" tire that doesnt need to be minitubed and go 1.2-1.3 60' times.

It seems like its getting "easier" for most people to go fast on less tire lately. However, when the small tires lose grip the wrecks suck bad as we've seen in the last 12-18 months...

I have to say that the key is the new generation AFCO shocks. The tire is killer and I had 20 psi on that pass but the new shocks are giving me the adjustment I needed. The motor is a 380 in LT1 with a FAST computer and AFR heads. So far I have been hitting it at 7 psi off the line and ramping to 12 psi. All on 93 octane fuel. The motor was dynoed at 22 psi so there is alot left. Also the pig weighs 3680lbs.

So Madman are you saying the Afco shocks had more to do with the 60' than the tires??? I know guys have been getting great short times with the MT drag radials but from what you are saying it seems as if you like the shocks more than the tires??

Just curious do you think the car could have had a better 60 with a slick?

+1 I like fast cars on smaller tire width tires!! My goal is to dial in my suspension and run a 28X9X15 Slick

By the way love the pic and the 60ft on a DOT Tire!! Those are my next set of rear street tires!!!

Very cool Madman, if anyone could make a radial hook like that its you!

I have a question. I'm kind of confused. What is more stable on the top end, a drag radial or a slick of equal size? To me it seems like a slick will give you the traction yet the radial will give you the support of the sidewall. Please clarify.

From the looks of the footprint the tires are leaving in the picture, it appears they need more air.
