not getting the e/t streets hot will be useless the compound has to get hot to be sticky.and you wont get a good burnout not being in water.e/t streets are just a dot approved slick.

I agree they need to be wet and burnt out but last year I took my car to the track for T and T and ran a few passes. I was doing a burn out and was running around 1.5x 60fts. My wife wanted to run the car for the first time. She didn't know how to do a burnout and didn't want to try so she just ran it without a burnout. She ran the same 60fts as me and the same ETs I think around 7.46
I think it might depend on track prep too though but taking off dry without a burnout has got to be better than taking off wet.
Go ahead and get you a linelock and learn to do a burnout then you will be ready to start spraying it. You don't want to take a chance in wrecking your car. Don't take off with wet tires and uneven tire pressure. take your time don't worry about how long it takes you It would be better to take your time and keep your car or you from getting hurt than to rush it.

How are you doing your burnout?
You might want to try this if you are not doing it:
back into the water pull up till your tire is at the edge of the water. put it in first gear. (this is when you turn on your linelock) since you don't have one yet hold the brake down. get your rpms up pretty quick to just below your redline. hold it there for a few seconds like maybe 5. shift it to second and get your rpms back up to just below redline. hold it there for a few more seconds and (turn off your linelock) let off your brake since you don't have one. come out of the water box. put it back in D/OD and stage up.

You need a 4400 stall and a set of 3.73's. and some long tube headers. you will be running in the 7's on motor. good luck
