Default Something New to Help the Twins Turbos

Received all the parts for the new Moser 9". Added all the control arm, sway-bar; and than got it powdercoated; Joey at Excessive put it all together yesterday. Now needs to be put in, do the mini-tubbing, add beefer front springs. And than we'll be ready.

Moser 9"
Narrow 3" ea side
Almum node
3.55 Pro-comp gears
Full Spool
40-spline, gun-drilled
5/8" studs
Strange Race Brakes

Thanks also to Thunder and MadMan for helping on getting this to us so fast.

Only a month left until the first TNT

Already tuned for 1k rwhp on 18lbs of boost. Last year was the twins maiden voyage, just a bunch of TNT. Broke the 12-bolt, decided that it was time to fix the next weakest point. Best todate on 8lbs is 9.16 at 148. We'll be able to actually launch on boost with confidence this year Should be mid-low 8's is our goal.

Will continue to run the present Bogart set-up (15x10 with 6 b/s) but only until the rear-end is finished and than we'll see what actually will fit. Looking at the new American TrakStar 15x12 not sure of the b/s, but they are back ordered. May go with another set of Bogarts.

We'll have to see on the tires we'll stay with the Hoosier 30x10.5x15R for a while. I'd like to try some 15x10.5W or 315 M/T DR with the 15x12.

Never know maybe some 33x14R.

Very nice David..I'm running the same setup except I run 35 spline axels..I've had "0" failure the past 2 years and I've swapped gears at least 10 times over that period...

Hey David on freindly advice have Joey weld you on a backbrace it will help alot with the nine inch not twisting on you like they are prone to doing. By the way I have the same setup in mine as well

There is actually 2 spacers on there right now - smaller one and than one that's twice as big. We'll decide on the one to use once we get the tires on. To my understanding they just hold the wheel/tire tighter to the hub.

So slow: thanks. I'm hoping not to have to change out the gears, but the 9" should be easier than the 12 bolt

Skipper: Big? not really. The 30" lets me run a lower gear and lets me finish at a safe RPM. I know a lot of people will run their cars to the max - 7200-7500 RPM's, but I like to take it easy on the engine - I like to finish/shift at about 6900-7000. Other racers at the track think I'm crazy to run only a 10.5" tire at 150+. Oh well

Thanks. The rear sway bar system we are putting on will take care of any possible sway.

Thanks again guys

Very nice, David! What kind of cage setup are you going with, with mid to low 8's in mind I am guessing 25.5?

Certified to 8.5 with a 10-point. Not sure I want to go much below 8.5 and end up having to do 25.5 cage. Our track will give a tenth or two.

Just as a side note. Weighed the rear-end (not mine, the cars ), 195lbs as it sets.
