Default prostars, grinding, complete process with 25 pics.

ok so i have a 2002 stock ws6. i have completely stock braking system. the wheels i am installing on the car are weld prostars xp's. the back spaceing is 5.5. the rear tires are 325x50x15. the fronts are 15x4.

so everybody wants to know will they need longer studs? will they have to grind? how much do they have to grind? will they need spacers?

well here are before, during and after pictures of the whole process.

i personally only had to grind the calipers. no spacers. no longer studs. the wheels fit flush. they are alittle tight on space but i will let the pics speak for themselves.

i hope this helps!

this first group of pics is the before. they show pre-grinding and pre-fitment to show you how much room there is.

this next set of pics is of the DURING process. they show how much i had to grind.

these are pics of final fitment. no spacers. no longer studs.

i hope this write up helped somebody.

Awesome man, thanks this helps. I'm sure i'll have to grind more in the rear cause I don't have the XP's. Can you get a picture of the car on the ground from the front kinda showing how much the rear wheels stick out when looking at it from the front?

They look fine to me, thanks a bunch for the pictures. I'll go ahead and stick with my 15x10 5.5" BS for now and switch to 7.5" later on if I lower it at all. Did you drive on them yet? Have you had any issues with them hitting the fenders on bumps in the road? I am worried that they might hit the fender on a hard launch, guess we'll find out

Btw, what size shanks did you run in front and rear? The ones I got with my wheels the rear ones are shorter than the fronts.

my shanks were all equal size. dont know the exact size.

and yes i took the tires off cause when i hit small bumps they rub on the fender. i need adjustable lower control arms to pull the axle forward about 1/2 of an inch. i am also looking at buying some small airbags from "Airlift" to put in the rear springs so that i can stiffen up the suspension and bumps wont be a problem.

i wouldnt lower the car if yur gonna run drag wheels and tires. but thats just me.

GOOD LUCK!

You can stiffen up the shocks.

actually i have decided to go to a 26 inch tall tire instead of 28 in. i think that will fix the problem easier than ******* with the suspension.

at least i hope it will!

Nice work, I did mine a few weeks back.
Took longer to grind the calipers than to swap all four springs LOL.
