Auto Blowshield??
Auto Blowshield?? My local track has just started to inforce this on LSX powered vehicles running faster than 11.00.My question is can i run a trans blanket and be all set.My car has a SFI flexplate,so would i also need a bellhousing shield or just a blanket will be enough.Car has a TH400 in it also

I just looked at there site it says, If using a modified tranny/converter or running faster than 10.99 you need a shield/blanket meeting SFI 4.1.So would this meen that a blanket is enough.
Also where on the tranny is the blanket positioned

For 10.99 to 10.00 a trans blanket is all you need. At 9.99 and quicker the flexplate shield is required. This is per the NHRA rulebook.
The CSR part Mrdragster mentioned would cover both of these and isn't a bad idea if you plan on hitting single digits in the future, but the blanket is all you need for an NHRA track per the rulebook for 10.99 to 10.00.

TCI, B & M and ATI all make shields, but floor clearance is the issue most have with stock floorpans. The CSR is the only one I know of that follows the contours of the stock trans case (for TH350, TH400 and glides anyways) perfect.
Never a bad thing to make a call to the companies and ask about fitment though.
