Question Question about removing TCS???

When removing TCS I traced one of the three lines to under the drivers side right in the bumper... some silver box (looks like a small pcm box). Can that whole thing be removed? Or just pull the wire?

Thanks

a litttle off topic but when you remove the traction control can you also remove the box under the dash that says throttle position controller and the wiring for it?
