I have mine on the steering wheel and the spiral cord is a pain in the *** when you turn.I'm going to drill a hole in the console somewhere and put it there.

Right black button is my old TB button, left is another button for my delay box. I've got no complaints.

There was a thread about this a few months back with a ton of pics. You might try searching the drag section for it.

damn thats scary to let that cord loose after thumbing the button on a launch... if you drop it rough or it gets sloshed around during the run and locks it up its gonna be a bad ride.... i've done it on accident on my 69 with the TB button on the steering wheel... not fun

In the shifter ****, recessed microswitch type button so you cant hit it by accident. Only one like it in the world since it was custom made by a friend on his lathe

I did not put it in the steering wheel at the suggestion of some friends who are faster than me, but it's probably just personal preference. Tyty, I also have a TB disarm switch too, I can disable mine.

disarm switch is a good idea!.... yeah i can definately see that a car driven on the street doesnot need a TB switch on the steering wheel... i have mine mounted on the passenger side of my 1/4 stick...

red button behind shifter. i also have a disarming switch. i have driven cars with them on the shifter. the only problem is with a reverse shift pattern and your hand on the shifter, you could accidently pull it into 2nd gear on the launch.

Thats true, but since I have never done that once for thousands of passes over the years it doesnt happen to everyone My front wheels are usually still in the air when I shift 1-2 and I dont need to be searching for shfter handles.

BUT I have missed grabbing the shifter when the button was mounted off to the side of the shifter - just depends what you are used to. Some guys like it in the wheel and I cant stand it there..
