I watch a lot of Pinks and the best way to win is have a faster car and never run it all out. Let them think they are close when the whole time you never even sprayed the car yet. It works evertime and most of the time it's 3-0 at the end of the show. The most important thing though is that you get the car together with enougth time to get some shake down pases in and get this bitch dialed in. I have seen so many guys lose their cars on pinks because they never dialed it in right and they took it straight from the shop to the show.

faster car seems to win most of the time, but it is a big hustle, thank god we have a chi town street racer driving, couldnt ask for anything better.
i like the idea of l92 heads on it, you can say its a stock block, stock headed motor, lol. we just wont talk about the portwork on the heads of the internals of the block

My two cents that nobody asked for:
Although this street racer seems like a great candidate, I vote we have a girl drive the car. Better yet, somebody teach there grandma to drive a stick. On top of everything the Blue Oval Boys would be losing to lil ol' Betsy.
As far as donations. How about if (when) we take that stang, we raffle it off, and every $5 donated toward the buildup of the car counts as a raffle ticket. Any surplus cash could be put to use hiring a wizard to fix our search feature.

We hope to finish the car while driving down, wrenching on it inside an inclosed trailer, all the while pounding Red Bulls.
Actually we plan to do the opposite. Hope y'all come out.

So when you get the donations set up will you take Canadian money? I would suggest that you open up the request for donations and that any money that might be left over donate to a charity. You might be able to do that at the start of the show. I would think that a turbo setup would be ideal. Change the boost to whatever you need. The ford camp is not going to be slow.

JUST AN OPINION
I aggree, but I'm kinda lost why you don't want to take donations. Yes it would be great for people to show up, but it would also be nice to have member support. What would it be like for pinks to say that this many (xxxx) people, mostly strangers, teamed up to build this car. It seems like many, many, many people want to have a hand in helping and feeling like a part of the project wether it's 5 to 50 bucks.
Yes, the forum is here with a BIG help from the sponsors, but it's also here because of the people that use the forum. And even though it wasn't asked for, there my opinion.
DONATATION FOR THE WIN!
