I'm sorry John, but a 6 speed is a stupid idea when the whole car can be taken away. If you were street racing it or doing the "All Out" race, then it isn't a big deal. Why don't you have Vince at FLT build you a th400 and be done with it? You must have a lot of faith in Haider to be rowing the gears. And a stock engine, just with head studs? At this point, my money is on the Mustang.

i agree. my money would be on the mustang, too, if that's all the work being done.

i also think PSJ would never post the real mods going on the car on a public forum that the mustang guys could see, so i'm not taking ANYTHING he's saying seriously...which might mean i shouldn't be posting this?

I know John is not being serious about whats goig into it. He knows the stang guys are reading this. I can't see a stock but studed LS1 handeling a 91 at boost.

Keep in mind a 91 is WAAAYYY over kill for a near stock LS1 not to mention stock CUI.

Having a 6 speed is retarded!

If they do show up with a stock LS1 with a rear mount and a 6 speed my money will be on the stang.

Im sure it will have a complete aftermarket fuel system and tank, good luck getting that 91 to it with a stock fuel tank lol.

First missed shift on TV and there will be PAGES of people laughing on here and the stang forum.

I think you guys are missing the point. Racing on PINKS is a major pain in the ***.You try to put as little money in it as possible. John knows the bump he needs to be at it's the same as mine and he can do it with his set up. If someone brings a 8 se car then that's there fault because they can only run a certain time on the show now.

My thinking is that we use the lag of the 91mm rearmount to our advantage. Haider can stand on the gas and the car won't do anything until the engine is over 5000 rpms. So the car will cut bad 60ft' but should trap in the 160's.

Right. It has to be LSx-powered, so we are bringing a 1900 lb turbocharged LSx powered sandrail.
