3500rpm-fast-clutch-letout (not dump)

If you had 4.10's I'd say a 5000rpm clutch dump, but if you have a stout clutch, you'll bog with 3.42's.

get rid of the slicks and get DRs, slip from 5k and pull 1.6-7s all day long.

what clutch do you have?

I'd launch it at about 1500 and then pray it didn't break on the 1-2 or 2-3 shift... that's if it survives the burn outs.

FWIW, I broke my 10-bolt within 15 minutes of bolting on a set of ET Streets with a bolt-on LS1, on the road with a Spec clutch.

Your clutch is going to be what kills your rear faster than anything.

Just go buy a rear now.. save the $ you would have had to give the tow truck.

Once ya have a rear in it with some gear (4.10, 4.30) heat the tires up good, and side step the bitch at 6500

dammit. ive got a set of the new size m/t's about to go on, but i dont wanna break it. id love to put it on the track, but breakage scares me. im trying to backup a fast run here in town with a stock car. with only a lid and cutout i went 8.49 @ (i think) 86, bogging HARD outta the hole. next run i dead hooked and broke the DS. i know its got more in it, i just need a good launch and no brakage.

anyone every seen the stock driveshaft break before the stock rear? is that normal or not?

ps - sorry for the hijack...
