Default T56?

Just curious wondering how much power people are putting down with a stock T56. My new motor is going to be hopefully above 500hp and was just going to get the 1K upgrade performed from T56Rebuilds. Didn't know if people are recommending the Viper shaft or not.

I'm also upgrading from a Mcleod single disc to a twin.

I have been side stepping @ 5500 with 390 at the tires and haven't had any problems. I'm going to up the RPMs with the new setup though.

Thoughts? Ideas?

My car makes that on motor, and Ive been leaving on a 125 shot also in the same RPM range and no problems yet, I'm not sure how much longer it will take it though. Its OK now but I expect to loose it sooner or later.

I'm making 508 on motor and running it through a basically stock T56 with the exception of a steel 3-4 shift fork. Tranny has 65K+ miles on it too.

Launching as high as 7000rpm and shifting at 7000 as well.

T56 Rebuilds makes some awesome transmissions though!
