Default Hoosier Drag Radials

What tire pressure are you guys running with them? Took the car to the track lastnight for the first time and played with the pressure a little bit. My best 60ft was 1.58, straight off the trailer with 24lbs.

Did they spin? Bog? 24lbs sounds a little high, but each track and car will be different. Have someone watch you tires on launch..if they spin, lower 1lb, bog either up your launch or raise the psi by a pound. You need to take the tire pressure as soon as you get back to the pits. Keep up and down until your 60's stop improving.

ditto everything NavyDave said........ depending on what size you are running.

the "sweet spot" for us running the 275/60/15 seems to be 21lbs........

on the 315/60/15's and hitting it a little harder out of the hole, it was 20lbs

we have an LT1 street car that runs the 275/40/17 and cuts 1.50 60 ft all day long at 24lbs.......

every car will be a little different, but that should put you in the right direction

Yeah I couldn't believe I cut a 1.5 at 24lbs of air pressure, I lowered them down to 20 and it got worse from there.

I have been thinking of going to the Hoosiers. I currently run MT DR's at 16-17psi and dead hook out of the hole. Best 60' is 1.69 (not as much power as above cars). Just wondering if the Hoosiers are a better choice (the clean-up of the MT's is hell).
