Camaro 98 VS Corvette C4 which body is better for drag race ??
camaro 98 or corvette C4 ??
with same engine and all parts ( LS1 engine & 350 transmission )
i wanna know what is better of ( weight , Streamlined , dash , ..., etc)?
i will remove much weight i can and it will be with LS1 H/C
( LS6 CNC ported / TR224 -112 ) or LS1 only T-REX cam
I desire to improve my 1/4 : 10.8 , possibility forms carbretore or fuel

I ran 10.85 cam only in my '00 Camaro. Full boltons, MS3 cam, 26" MT drag radial, full suspension, and a 3275 race weight. You can't go wrong with either, but you will pay $10-20,000 more for the Vette, in which you could build one hell of a combo for that much. I paid $9,000 for my '99 Camaro and my brother just paid $23,000 for his '02 C5 Vette.
I would say the C4 would be in the same price range. If you want a LS1 though you would have to transplant one in the C4 or get a C5 which is going to increase the cost of the vette. Another thing you need to look at is the rear end. You are going to need to upgrade anyway but I know C5 vettes have IRS which is not prefered in drag racing over the solid axle like in the fbody. I am not sure which rear is in the C4 though. 10s are still posible either way though.
