Weight difference in hoods????

Question Weight difference in hoods????
What kind of weight difference am I looking at between the stock SS hood, and VFN's sunoco (extended) hood? I would also be getting rid of all the windsheild wiper stuff, and hood latches/hinges.

Well i went from my stock hood on my trans am to the 4" ws6 hood from VFN and i would say i dropped atleast 40-45lbs off the front of the car

i would like to know this also the SS hood is around 70-80 i believe! it hella heavy!

No.. The ss hood is 55lbs...My old VFN hood weighted right at 14lbs...My new Joe Vanoverbeek hood is 7.8 LBS ...Feels like a pizza box..

Stock SS hood is around 50 lbs, as are most stock hoods.

My VFN WS6 bolton hood is 26 lbs, and the Sunoco in the Pinks Camaro is similar.

My stock SS hood came in at 48lbs. My VFN 3" SS bolt-on hood was 24lbs.

my pin on sunoco weighs in at 14 pounds plus maybe 1-2 pounds for the mounting rails i had to fabricate for it. over all i dropped about 50 pounds from the factory hood, hunge setup

not prostock john but the stock formula hood weighed around 45lbs...the pin on hood is around 12 lbs...
