Default HELP-engine harness removal

I'm all the way to the drivers side @ the firewall. There is some glue hlding the connector together and I've been working it for days now. Any tricks to that SOB?

You talking about your Camaro? 3 on the Wheel Well, and 2 under the Dash. You have to pull the plastic below the Glove Box off to get the the ones under the Dash. Look in the Pic, they are toward the left side, blue and white connectors. Mine has 3 for my Car..

i recall mine had one screw i removed then pulled the harness into the interior of the car, the plastic piece in the firewall does not come apart. you just press down the tabs holding it in the firewall for it to release if i recall correctly

I thought I unplugged some **** inside and pulled it out into the engine compartment. Either way It is the worse part about it. There are multiple plugs in the pedal area that have to be disconnected. If you are cleaning up the engine bay then just cut, and shorten them and put it inside. Those are the wires that go to the ABS and fuse block. I put all the **** inside to clean it all up. If you are going to paint it just tape it up and don't worry about it.

The only one I unplugged from the interior is the one talked about by the glove box panel that goes through the firewall behind the PCM. Mine's a T56 so not for sure on a A4.

The engine harness does NOT go to the drivers side firewall, it only goes to the pass side.

The wiring going to the drivers side is for headlights, fuse box, a few of the gauges, etc.

Yeah, I just want to disconnect it because I'm going to be painting the engine bay area and it's all tangeled together anyway.

what the guy said....there is one screw and then you push 2 tabs together and it will pull out into the engine bay once you undue all the wires under the dash/steering column area. Dont try to take apart the plug where its glued...youll ruin the harness. This is the rectangular block plug under the brake booster.
