Default MS Excel DA Calculator

Someone wanna check this over for me? I've been working on it for a while and think its pretty close but since my tracks don't provide a lot of info I've had to make it up as I go along. If someone could review it and let me know if its correct or all BS I'd appreciate it.

Congrats on getting the formula to calculate DA, thats such a bitch!

I see that the formula you used does not add the actual over sea elevation...
just that..

As an alternative...

For true DA, you need the station pressure, which can be plugged in here:

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/elp/wxcalc/stationpressure.html

Then, take that and plug it in here with the air temp. and dewpoint:

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/epz/wxcalc/d...altitude.shtml

The altimeter setting is what is reported as the barometer readings on most weather sites unless it specifically shows it as station pressure. Hope this helps. Take care. Dave
