Wheels/tires and Gears...Please help..
Now that my rear end is shot, I am going to buy a Moser 9".
My question is.....I am looking at the Weld Pro-star 15" rims (i realize that i have to shave my rotors)
What tire size will fit with out beating the fenders in???? I would prefere a Drag/street tire, and then what gear ratio would be best?
I have done all the searches and am totaly messed up with all the options.
From what i see I should get the weld Po star 15x10 wheels (what offset)
and 28x10.5x15 ET streets, but i think i have to beat the fenders with that size, would the 27x10.5x15 M/T ET streets be my choice???
Also the gear sizes range from 4.10 to 3.73????
M6 trans.......
Please help this is a big dollar change over and i what to do it right...

I have 4.33s in my car. At the end of the mile I was at the top of 4th with that gear and 26s. I had a 1.65 60 ft on that.
With my new setup I'm going to run 28s, which will hurt my gear little but will probably work out just right.
IMO, if you are going to do a 12 bolt I would get all the upgrades. It's going to be more money, but will be worth it in the long run if you plan to make "really" good power!
Than get some good race style shocks (QA1, etc).
The only problem? When do you say enough? Oh yea, street or street/strip?
Good luck - how deep are your pockets?

Bogart are the best wheels IMO as well. I know you aren't supposed to drive them on the street, but if you miss pot-holes and other big bumps you wont have a problem. They are costly, but extremly light and look awesome! They have a set that looks just about like a ProStar and have seen some pictures of them on this site. I believe 7.5 is right, but I would look in the wheel section to double check.
I'm going with high dollar everything so I don't have to buy things twice. I'm done doing that!

The track I race on never is prepped all that great. I've always said track condition's are the key factor in hooking. It's not always the tires or suspension. I was just making the statement that the 28's I ran hooked regardless of track condition, but fitment is not so great. Good call though! The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
