More gear?or Bigger Stall?????????

You should not think of it as one or the other. I think of it as 2 issues. I pick the gear to get the RPM in the lights I want. I pick the stall to make the motor happy & still hook the car. Example, the slow car loved a 5500-5600 stall. Problem was max power on launch would not hook. Choked down launch with a 5200 stall, and it was more consistant. Just by tighting it 300 made a huge difference. Sorry if I missed the ??. Good luck.
