Most of the wiring on the steering collumn is for your ignition switch and turn signals. Get a wiring diagram and then you can figure out what to remove rather then posting pics of random connectors.

Yup, get a cheap Haynes manual and do some studying. Most of the wires are redundant but dont just start cutting.

Top pic is your ignition switch, 2nd one is the wiper switch/turn signal wiring, third one is the high beam switch, shifter wiring is for the nuetral safety, backup, hatch release, not sure on the two wire connector. Random thing is just a random option/test connector it appears.

If you dont need any of that stuff then cut away..

Thank you...

But if all that stuff is what you mention, wtf is all the wiring that comes from the steering wheel .. (no wheel radio control or stuff)

Only wiring besides the horn in the steering wheel itself is for the airbag if it doesnt have radio controls.

I wouldn't do it. Plus you may end up with a pair of wire cutters in your forehead if your cut the Airbag wire.

the random thing is a splice pack for all the serial data in the car. lets the PCM, ABS, cluster, OBD port, etc. all talk. If you've got the stock PCM in the car you need it.

Anyone know what this relay is? I know its not the fuel pump or starter cut relay. I thought it might be the high speed relay for the blower box but the colors don't match up to my wiring diagram.

Also what is this box?

I know this is the theft box. Do I need it at all? I'm not runing hardly any of the stock wiring and my starter is wired direct. Engine is using the BS3 so I didn't think I need this box. I just wanted to check though.

Thanks!

I'm not sure on the relay, there is a few of them by the glove compartment, but the middle pic looks like the TCS controller if its on the LH kick panel hgh up there.

Third pic doesnt look familiar to me at all and i have taken a few of these completely apart.

Where is that relay located?

As far as the Vats box? If you are not using the stock PCM for any thing and you have the Starter by passed you should be able to remove it and all the wiring.

I have my car torn so far apart the only thing left hanging is the relays, VATS box and the cluster(must have cluster to charge battery while running)

Third picture is the theft deturant(sp) box. It controls the starter cut relay and vats, etc. I looked at the wiring diagram and decided I don't need it in there anymore with the way my car is wired. The second box is mounted right behind the fuse block and above the big main connector where you unplug the interior from the engine bay harness. Its not tcs since that did not come on this car. Any other ideas?

Thanks guys

The relay was somewhere on the passender side. I'm not really sure where it was from the factory since the car has been apart a few times now. I was hoping someone could identify it by the wire colors.

Thats what it was. I looked up the hatch relay and the colors matched. Thanks for helping me figure that one out. Now I just need to find out what that big box is. Did your car have one right above the main connector(where the engine bay wires plug into the interior wires) on the driver side?
