Vacuum pump w/ stock pulleys

Default Vacuum pump w/ stock pulleys

I am keeping all of my accy.'s and need to run a vacuum pump. Do you guys have some pictures of how you have them run? I've got an aerospace pump with lines but I just don't see how I can fit it all under the hood

Specifically I hear A&A CORVETTE makes one and was hoping for some pics of that.
I have also been thinking of putting a serp. pulley on the pump I have and running it as a manual tensioner.

Any ideas would be helpful.

A&A's Vacum Pump is Built By Charlie Williams of RPM motors, We work with Charlie On alot of projects, he has 3 Sizes Street/Race/Mountain Motor

Let me know if you would like more info we can get you pricing on the kit. i am not sure if his mandrel setup will work with the aerospace pump.

Here you can see how the vacuum pump pulley is integrated into a new tensioner, the pump has an integrated regulator.

Alex those are the best pumps money can buy. We use them on our turbo motors. I have actually seen the check valve stick and suck the bottom of the oil pan into the rods.

Aerospace or The ones sold my RPM Motors?

I have one of his mountain motor pumps going on my car.

i'd like to see a motor with one on it and a price for a kit....

i have a procharger with no AC or power steering.

how much and what all would be included with the race pump...

i assume the difference is the race pump is able to push and pull more air?

The Street Pump pulls about 5-7" vaccum at idle 12-14@ WOT Max 22" if valve is set to kill.

The race pump is completely adjustable and can pull as much as 30" vaccum.

Higher vacuum levels definitely will put up serious HP gains but bear in mind that’s applicable at the race track where as street use has limits that need to be adhered to.

The Street Kit's MSRP is 799
The Race Kit's MSRP is 999

what kinda life hours is the race pump expected to have.... my car sees the street maybe 50miles a month... the rest is raced about once every 2 weeks..

The Pump, Plate, Tensioner, fitting and belt are included in the kit.

All you need is your choice of Lines and Oil Seperator/catchcan

The Main Difference is the ability for it to pull more vacuum. This helps to seal the rings, decrease blow-by and prevent oil foaming.

Charlie has 2+ years with his same Pump on his DD 427 Corvette. They have a 1 year warranty but have never seen a failure with proper use.

Alex, you have PM.
One thing I forgot to ask was if I could use front facing vacuum bungs in the valvecovers with your kit? My valvecovers have the bungs in the front.........does this make things more difficult?

This is also a street driven car. Probobly 2k miles a year.

the vacuum source can come from anywhere, you can run the lines how ever you want.

Like i said earlier Charlie has ran his original pump in his DD 427 corvette since 2005 without failure.

What I meant was does the pump get in the way where it is placed on the bracket? I tried to fab up my Aerospace pump but it hit the bung.
