How do you guys launch Your cars with automatic trans and footbraking?

Stall it up to around 1500 to preload the drivetrain, and slam the gas on the 3rd amber as fast as I can letting the converter flash and hit as hard as this lil TCI 3500 can! haha

So basically Your letting it go as the rpm flies up.

What's the STR on Your converter?

Mine still has the stock stall converter, I usually stall it up to about 900-1000 and launch it from there. 1.9-2.0 60 foots are the norm.

No what he is saying is that after you get staged, get the rpms up to where you want them, then hold them there until the third yellow hits then let oof the brake and floor it.

Giving it enough to take the slack out (~1500 rpm) and romping on it on 3rd yellow
has given me my best times (1.70). That was with my 3200 Protorque. Should be much
better with the new SS4000 Yank
