Why not just buy Z8's motor? Proven engine and you can't build one for what he wants for his.

Z8's engine will not run in the 7's, it barely cracked the 8's...why do you think he sold it?

Hmmmm.
When it ran in the 8's it was with the factory heads and intake . I stepped it up with the 220 AFR's and the Super Victor at that point it made Much more power but never made it back to the track. Was only sellling it because I had a new one built but am now splitting it up heads/intake and freshening up the short to use as a spare. The heads wont work with the new setup.

Sorry Fahad ....... Back on topic.

I don't know how much your car will weigh, but I can't think of any small block nitrous cars in the 7's (at around 3000#).

I mean any small block.. I'm no expert by any stretch, just stating that I can't think of any offhand...

Still with even an LSX block your still somewhat limited, unless you go tall deck block. I've had a handful of people ask me price on a "500+ ci LSX", i'm not going to say it can't be done, but mathmatically you can only make 482ci if you went with the short deck LSX.

Working with 9.250" over 4.000" stroke think about how much of the piston will drop out of the bore and the CD you end up with. It only seams logical 4.185" bore and 4.000" is the most reliable option;with what is available to sportsmen racer.

My 68' camaro ran high 7's and it wasn't "Complete insanity" just like evrything else you get use to it and it's boring. 2000hp your kidding me right. You don't need that much your a very few hundred off on your figure.

there may be some, but not alot. Small block nitrous at 3000# in the 7's?... not alot... I know of one for sure from last weekend went deep in the 7's.. but I still contend it isn't common, it's much easier using forced induction.

My buddy is one of them (not an LSX but still small block chevy)
His basic recipe to run low 8's/high 7's @ 3,000lbs required:

- An angine builder who knows how to read a spark plug and a laptop screen
- A car/chasis that can handle 1400+hp (includes fuel sys/electronics etc)
- 414ci (all the best parts; Venolia pistons etc)
- Heads flowed 420+ (includes highest end valvetrain available)
- Custom sheet metal intake (to match above)
- One stage of Nitrous (~500hp)
- True 10.5" tires
- Patience to burn a few dozen pistons before getting the tune right
- ~$65k

You might want to take the opportunity to fly someone over there that can tune cars.

To run 7's you will need a 454LSX solid roller, Sheetmetal Intake, 2 inch headers, 3 stage nitrous system with over 500 on the first 2 stages and another 200 on the third, powerglide transmission, weight around 2600lbs or so..... and above all..... the right tuner to keep the combo alive.

Yes dustin is a nice guye but he didnt worked on tuning when he was hear because at that time he dont know how to tune he was working on my car to let the STS kit work on it , he did good job the car looked good than before.
after he left kuwait i heard that he was starting to tune cars when he got back to U.S.

FAHAD, you are going to find some one hear can tune it for you but you have to know somthing that your stock PCM will not work with 7's sec you should get BS3 or FAST .and you know we have alot off cars hear in kuwait they are runing 7's and 8's with thear cars like saud alzabin 1500HP with 101MM turbo and he was in the 7.5 sec in the 1/4 mile. and its tuned hear in kuwait.

right now his new should be hear next month with 2000HP on it and it going to be tuned hear.
so if you look around and ask you are going to find some one hear to help.
