crank to alt what belt

I run a Gates K060295 with no tensioner at all.....only goes around the crank and alt....old school style since I went with this combo and its never even hiccuped. I leave the alt. loose, wrap the belt and tighten up the alt bolts. Belt tension is perfect. I'm not sure how long it will stay that way, but I'm hopefull. I am using a ASP pulley however if that matters??
