as for the spring cup.... that seems fairly easy to do, and ill save some $

I run the stock perches on QA1 shocks, it has worked well like that for 6 or so years. It is correct that all you need to do is remove some material and make the inside diameter larger. I believe I used a die grinder to do this. A word of advice, get the thrust bearing kit with the shocks, it is almost impossible to make on car adjustments without them.
