Default 3900 Lbs

Compared To A Car That Say 3000 Lbs How Much Time Would You Think Im Giving Up By Being 900 Lbs Heavier? (in The 1\4th)

Also Roughly How Much Hp Would It Take To Compensate For 900 Lbs (say Being Currently In The 500 Hp Range)

the rule of thumb is 10 rwhp for every 100 lbs but thats not always 100% accurate.
so for your 900lbs difference, you'll need about 100 more RWHP.

And for every 100lbs of weight (non-rotating mass) is .1 off of your E.T.

Once you start getting that heavy it's really tough trying to get the car moving quickly. Believe me, I just bought a 4000 pound 82 Firebird. I'd say it's roughly a second slower and about 10 MPH slower than if it weighed 3000 pounds. The .1 for every 100 pounds is about right IMO until you start getting really light. It's all about percentages.

Thats one fat bitch!!!

weight reduction will help out all over the board... power:weight ratio is a killer. Trust me, I drag race a 4K# truck LOL.... heavy vehicles are also extremely hard on drivetrain parts as already has been mentioned.

well you can ditch the sfc's since you have the cage. And i doubt the cage weighs 150. Why dont you pull some weight out?? You can still have a street/show car look after taking some weight out

I can believe it. We have one car that runs mid 10s and hits the scales at over 4100Lbs

Safety is well over 150Lbs in this car

Not only does it run mid tens it wins car shows and Open Road races
