My buddy is puttin down 376rwhp in his TA and busted in half today at WOT shifting into 5th.

think the v6's and the v8 cars with the speed limiter at 110mph got the steel ones.
nope mine was not speed limited.....i guess it was the early 98s...mine was made 11/97 and it seems like it had every faulty part that was discontinued...lol

I just made 455hp to the wheels and made about 12 passes with 4500 rpm lanches. I have a chrome moly ds sitting in my living room, I guess its time to put it in lol. Haven't hit the nitrous with it yet(653.4hp) probably a good thing.

Default gonna try it

Well guys, I guess I am going to test the limits of it tomorrow. I will be putting 500rwhp to it through slicks. I DO have a driveshaft loop so if it does break it shouldnt damage anything. Ill post how it holds up.

Or you have a 2.73 rear end, which was the base model A4 car, which got a steel DS

broke mine on the 2nd or 3rd launch when i had a T-56 w/ only 380hp

I saw 5 very mild (stock or near stock) f-bodys break their drive shafts in less than a hour.

been 1.28 and alot of 1.3x's on my stock aluminum shaft.....

Here's what mine looked like after a 3500 dump on ET streets with about 400RWHP. Thank God for drive shaft loops.
