Default seat mounting brackets

Im looking into getting some seats but how are you guys mounting them? My buddy made his brackets but they look like garbage and not sturdy at all. But there in his mustang and it looks like a pain to mount seats in it period. Are you guys making all your own or buying brackets? FYI: they will e the plastic racing seats. **pics would help out a lot too**

i have heard of rumors of a fourth gen seat being a direct bolt in to a third gen. that being said i figure you can get ed quay seat mounts for a third gen and have them bolt up to the fourth gen. my dad has them in our 92 and has made many 9 sec passes. if need be when the seats are out, i'll put the third gen bracket in our fourth gen and post pics.

Ed Quay Catalog
that is a link to their catalog, take a look...

I mounted my kirkey right to the floor, got my head away from the roof some and made things pretty simple. I'm 6'3 275 lbs though, so I needed the room.

I want to run the JAZ plastic seats as well. The way I did it in my last car was using aluminum to bolt the seats to, and then bolt the aluminum to a stock manual seat bracket. This time around, I'd like to go with a lighter setup.

Darrell, do you have any dimensions on yours? That is what I am looking to do as well.

For the Ed Quay brackets, it looks like:

100-2150 Seat Mount - fits Poly seat - driver side $108.95
100-2155 Seat Mount - fits Poly seat - passenger side $91.95

I talked to ed Quay, I think I am going to go that route with the Jegs plastic seats. Can anyone confirm that the third gen seats WILL in fact fit a fourth gen?
