no **** that's really movin.. that's about .4 and 9 mph better then the bst I've done so far. I know I have some left to get, but no way is my car gonna run that #... that's way more then I have left to get out of the 60 foot and even if I could get my car to 3200, it's not gonna go THAT fast in the 1/8th

From what I have seen, they are faster but when you look @ the amount of $ it costs to build a 402/408 vs. a 427 it gets hard to justify it.

Don't get me wrong though, had I had the extra $when I had eastside build my 402 I would have went with a 427, and if I had to do it over today with the lsx out there, I's have gone strait to a 440+ ci setup with a sheet metal intake, and the ET 265 heads rather then the 240's

I run a cam with identical specs and a Yank PT4000 with good results at the track and good driveability on the street.

I ran a lot of low 10.5X @ 130.X passes NA with my 13:1 408. LS1 heads that flowed in the 290's. gearing was pretty crappy with 4.10's going through the traps at about 6200. should have been going through about 7000. Put 550 to the wheels.

I'm confident it would go bottom 10's with everything worked out correctly. consistanty go mid 1.4X's 60'. raceweight around 3350

UPDATE

The motor is in and I have no idea how I ever lived without this thing. I just have a safe mail-in type tune but I am going to the dyno and tuner tomorrow so hopfully I will have nubers soon. All I can say right now is that its only a matter of time until I destroy this stock tranny and rear.

i bought the motor with 1400 miles on it...so break in is taken care of. After the fine tuning is done and i get it on the dyno the track is next. just hope nothing decides to break....gotta get a rear for sure and probably looking into a new tranny setup as well
