Default New Best - Near Stock y2k z28

The car is a 2000 6 spd z28 with 28k miles, loudmouth exhaust, TSP lid, and MAF ends. Also had nittos on although my burnouts with them sucked! 2.0 60 ft's were all I could pull off
Here is the breakdown:
1.045
2.089
5.733
8.104
8.632
85.21
11.094
13.181
107.94

1.051
2.009
5.653
8.025
8.552
85.25
11.011
13.102
107.93

1.01
2.053
5.675
8.059
8.592
84.56
11.067
13.163
107.4

I need just one little thing to hit that 12.999...what should I add? I was thinking either the asp pulley or subframe connectors to help me with my 60's. Is 108 mph a good trap for what I have done?

Subframes are going to slow you down (added weight). Your car isn't making nearly enough power to twist any. The only thing you need to hit 12's is more seat time. A 1.9 60' will put you there. Your trap speed is right on par with every other '00 M6 LS1 I've seen with your mods. The pulley will get you a tenth or so, but I think it's a PITA to do for the little ET gain. What about a Bauer ported TB? It's inexpensive. It's common knowledge that our cars breathe through straws. The TSP lid and the MAF ends are a good start.

You could always bolt on a nitrous kit and skip the 12's all together.

If you're going to get gears, go with 3.73's. Either way, you're not going to gain much with them on a stock motor.

I'll echo the above comments. I've had plenty of 13.0 times with 2.0 60 foots on my good year gs-c street tires, but swap to m/t sportman pros and a 1.93 60 foot does wonders to help find the 12s! Good luck, more seat time and getting that perfect launch will find you a 12 second pass soon enough.

You just need more practice on the Nitto's. Also how much psi are you running in the Nitto's?

I agree seat time does wonders.

Took me about 20 passes to get even remotely used to an LS1 M6 and cut low 2.0-1.95 60s on street tires with this damned thing. Used a LT1 car where it was old hat.

108 mph on a 1.95 will get you a 13.doh or a bit better - just keep at it. Take some extra stuff out the car, youll be mad when you run 13.00 and youve got two wrenches and a jack in the car
