Question on Madman Torque Arm

Question on Madman Torque Arm I just read the artlicle in GM High Tech about the Madman torque arm. What confuses me is how does the torque arm pivot? The factory arm has the ability to slide in out of the bushings and most aftermarket arms I see that are shorter have a pivot link to allow it move back and fourth.
I am interested in set-up but was concerned about this. If I had to drive the vehicle on the road would it bind very badly since there is no movement?

The front point slides in and out from what I can tell. From what I can find it is not the most road worthy setup but definately getts the job done. I am hoping to get more information on the setup soon for my car

I noticed that it looks like the tubing is stepped down in the front. Looks like the front isn't welded and the smaller tubing just slides in and out of the larger diameter tubing. They must place a stop in the tubing somewhere so it can only slide in so far.

When you bolt the crossmember in to line everything up (on the tunnel brace holes). Everything is lined up perfectly so the slider doesn't bottom out. Its a VERY nice heavy duty piece with TONS of adjustment. You won't be dissapointed.
