Default Lug nuts for Bogarts...

I picked up a set of Bogarts and I want to make sure I use the right lugs. I have stock studs basically (rears are longer but not by much) and Bogart D10's, 15X9.75 and 15X3.5. It looks to me like a need a 1.25 shank, but the wheels came with different lugs. The previous user (I bought them used) used these lugs but they look short. He had ones in front with 1/4" shanks and rears with 1.25 shank I think.

I have some McGards for my prostars that are 1.5" shank, which is too long but if I double up the washers it makes the shank stop about 1/8" from the rear of the wheel. Is it Ok to double up washers like that?

Thanks!

Might need to mill them down a bit, check the length.

Give SJM a call. I know you can get them from Steve.

I called SJM 3 times yesterday and left a message, no return call. I guess he's busy.

Just cut the shanks down, any kind of cutoff wheel will work.

Do I just want them to get as close to the back of the wheel as possible? Right now I have 2 washers on each lug and that works for length.

I just recently emailed SJM and Steve told me to get the MCG-62002 lug nuts if I wanted the closed kind. If you want the open kind, SJM sells some you do not have to modify.

Mine are like 1/8" inside the wheel, it doesnt have to be perfect. As long as they dont stick out of the wheel too far and tighten on the shank instead of against the wheel. I would rather cut them down then use two washers. It depends which Bogarts you have, my fronts (SS wheels that have a good sized spacer welded on) use regular prostar length shanks and the rears I had to cut about 1/2 an inch off.
