Seat/harness mounting...
The driver seat is mounted on the left side to the rocker bar of my 25.5 cage and to the rockerbar/driver bar intersection. I have a tab welded to the rocker bar for the left harness mount. The passenger side is where I need alittle help. The front has a decent section for a mount but the driver seat right rear has really no provisions. The only thing I can think is to use a 1/2" tube with a bend in it to get around the seat and tie it into the subframe. I could mount it to where the sheetmetal factory seat mounts and have a bar with only a small bend it in. The seat support bar will go to the funny car cage and just have a flat piece of CM to bolt to the seat.
Harness mounts have the same issue The lower right lap belt gets a tab on the rocker bar, the upper belts go to the funny car cage and get 2 seperate tabs, the crotch strap gets a small tab on the floor where the factory seats bolted down. I can't figure out where to mount the tab for the right lap belt. Its right in the area of the trans tunnel and I'm not sure if the sheet metal is strong enough in that area. Any help or pics is greatly apprecated.
Different car I know, but I mounted my 5 pt harness to the factory seat belt positions on the floor, 2 seperate tabs on my rollbar and the crotch strap is attached to the same metal the seat is attached to the floor with (the actual floor of my car where the rear 2 studs are, I used those studs to mount the seat on the bottom)
