Default Wheel Spacing

I have my new rear being narrowed 3.5" per side.

Will 15'' x 10'' with a 4'' BS fit?

Car has offselt Wolf Lower Control arms.

I know i may need Minitubs this is just about the back spacing.

tires will sit identical to just about every f-body on this site that runs 15x10 with 7.5" BS on a stock-width rear. (the narrowing 3.5" offsets the 3.5" change in backspace)

So if i want them to tuck a bit i should do 4" narrow with a 4" backspace?

can you go 4" with stock mounting points?

or would 3.5 per side and 5" BS be better?

I have 3" cut off each side, and with a 4" bs on a 15x10" rim, it sticks out a little too much. Not obsene, just not desirable. After having the car mini tubbed, I have my 315's mounted on 15x10 Convo Pro's, with 5" bs. These look good, but in reality, I could lower the rear a few more #'s if I had at least 1/2" more bs.

I wish I would have gotten 3 1/2" taken off, because then the 5" bs rims would have fit perfectly. BTW, I have just over 3/4" between the tire and the offset lower control arms.

In short, with 3 1/2" off each side, you will be perfect with the 5" bs on the 15x10".

Here are a few pics, with the 4" bs rims, 3" off each side.

Click up rear the tope where it says next, to go to the next pic. There is a counter at the bottom of the pic. My car is the black one in pics, 7, 8, 49, 50, 51, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102.

My rear was narrowed 3.75" and I have BIG FORD axle ends which move the alxe flange 0.45" closer to the housing end (GM ends have 2.81" axle offset while the Big Ford has 2.36" of axle offset) resulting in 4.20" of effective narrowing. I have 15x10x5" BS wheels. Unfortunately, I didn't account for the different axle offset that comes with the ford ends, so I have to run a very thin spacer in the rear to keep the tires off the LCAs (even with offset LCAs).

Looks damn good.

So if i'm using GM ends then i would have to narrow mine 3.75 to have it look like that since i don't have the additional offset?

I have the equivalent narrowing of 4.2 inches, but have a very thin spacer so its about 4.1" equiv. narrow if I had GM ends

BTW, those tires are 29.5x10.5x15 (non W)

when you go in that far, you need to be sure what wheel (and actual measured offset...not "rated" offset) you will be running...or else you can end up with interference issues with suspension components in a hurry.

Also note that wiithout modifying the LCA bracket, you can only narrow a rear 3.75". If you want to make the bracket less wide, you can go further.

I was planning on running Weld Pro MAgnums with a 5" BS since thats what i have up front.

The car is already mini tubbed, i think i would just have to worry about my lower brackets.

i'm just going to stick with the 3.75 and modify as little as possible.
