#23
I would go with a th350 also...wait i did, and tested it to 900 hp so far on a trans brake, working good. in a 3250 lb car I can put it on the bumper at will off the line, 1.2x 60 ft on the rear wheels, shifting to 2nd right on the 60 ft too, in the air lol

Not to steal the thread. I'm thinking of a Th350 swap myself, but don't know which combo to match my present set up(4l60e w/3600 stall,4.10 gear,28's)on 150 shot.
With the Th350, what stall? what gear? to make it even quicker. Any recommendation appreciated. Thank you.

i would only do a glide if you are running 9.99 or quicker. and i would only do a T-350 if you are running 10.00 or slower and you have alot of weight stripped out of your car. otherwise go for a T-400 if you are running 10.0 or slower with a full weight car.

glide for sure
there is a bit of an advantage to getting off the line with a th350, but after the first 30-40 feet that advnatage disappears. with a god stall and the right tire/gear combo you can cut close to the same short times with the glide.
the glide is so much lighter both physically and internally that whatever minor loss there could be in the first 40 or so ft will more than be made up for in the following 1280ft

That sounds about like what I was thinking. A glide has the least amount of power loose in an auto car.
