I know there are quite a few people on here running the Moroso pumps.. Back when I was researching about the pumps I found some pics of them. You can fab up a bracket pretty easily from what I've seen and the rest is cake..

Moroso lists one of their standard brackets to fit on ls1 heads if you go to their webpage. You would just have to make spacers probably

Don't forget they want you to keep the RPM's under 6000. You need to get the correct pulley combination. I personally run mine at 5500.

How do you figure out the pully combo?I spin my motor over 8000 so i guess i have to figure out the ratio to keep the pump under 6000 rpms.

Just divide, then when you order your gears or pulleys you tell them the ratio. Some stuff is a standard ratio, like a dry sump is usually 57%. Some stuff is a certain RPM, like a vacuum pump, under 6000.

The math is accessory Rpm divided by Max engine Rpm. Like mine, 5500\8000 = 6875% so I bought a 67.5% gear set, so if I ever spin a little higher (on purpose or accident) I don't damage the vacuum pump, shaft or bearings. I was going to do 5750, but I wanted to be safe. Good luck.

Forgot to mention I spend a lot of time in Lombard, 22nd & Grace st.

I will check into the pulley ratio thanks.I just wanna make sure i don't pull oil like crazy like my old setup but i think the problem was that i was 1 to 1 on the ratio so the pump had to be in chinese overdrive.I just wanna do this right this time around.BTW how come you moved and were are you running your car at.

Good luck, 1-1 @ 8000 + probably wasn't very good on the pump. Hopefully you will be fine this time. Send a note before you hit the 2nd kit, maybe I'll make a trip to watch. Good luck.

As for me. I've been in the Orland & New Lenox area for 10+ years. The wife has been in Lombard for many years. We keep buying & selling land & houses, or holding, for the last couple of years. Everytime we plan to move somewhere, some health issue with her or the kids comes up. We just bought a house in Wheaton this week, it will be completed in 2-3 weeks. We still have a big piece of land in Minooka. So who knows. We did give notice in Lombard, so we have to be out of there before the end of the month.

We eat at the little place on highland near 22nd st every week.

About the car, getting close, here's a thread I just posted with latest pic's Photo's the plan is to race Div 3 & RT 66 for Top Sportsman.

I've been running Jones Racing, mandrels & gears since I went with belt drive oil pumps. Expensive, but have had no issues ever. They have several styles to choose from. I actually run the 2 piece aluminum.

Jones Racing

Maybe they can help, or you can get an idea to make your own setup. Good luck.

Maybe I can get the wife to make a road trip with me. Haven't been to the grove for 2 years.

I just bought this last night. Not a Moroso, but it supposedly drops right in.

The pump is driven off of the tensioner pulley.

Price was $719.00+shipping.

http://www.gzmotorsports.com/index.html

Says it just bolts to the heads with spacers and chugs away. A race and street version is offered.

Guy was real nice said it should work great.

I guess we'll see in 31 days when I get home.

Hope this helped

Get a good pump, you wont need to turn it to stupid rpm to pull avacuum.

We have made brackets up to mount in ac compressor position. 3200 pump rpm if I remember right pulls 14 inches, and we have a mandrel with one modicfication that bolts on to the ATI balancer
