And to be honest, my 4.7 dodge actually does pretty good with my car on the trailer. I just turn the overdrive off, and the thing locks the converter right up and cruises along at 65 no problem. Hills it works a bit, but it will maintain a 60 mph speed without too much trouble. I've got 3.55 gears in my truck too, I imagine if you have a factory tow package equipped truck which mine was not, it will have the 3.91 gears and will probably get it done a little better.
Don't get me wrong I will be replacing my truck in a couple years with a 1 ton diesel, but for the time being, it's getting the job done, no problem. 77K on it too, just do your maintenance, and it wil be fine. I just put a hitch and a brake controller on my truck, and added a bigger oil/tranny cooler, and it's been good.

i bought this for $600. dual 3500lb axles with electric brakes. i have since painted the wheels and tool box black, and got a drop hitch so that it is the right height. i also added an electric winch and x-braced the C-channel frame. works great if you are trying to keep it cheaper. most expensive part was buying ramps (i paid 230 or so). keep your eyes open and you can get a deal.
