I'm going to get the sure stops and the hawks soon, I don't have much life left on my front pads.......

I'll see how my current brakes are doing once I get the setup together.......got to do some street testing.....I don't like the feeling of not being able to slow the car down at the top end, I felt like I had that problem with my heads and cam setup......

Mighty Mouse,
I've noticed the same thing on my car (not coming close to missing the return road though). I was thinking that it was possibly from heating my back brakes too much during power brake burnouts - cause I didn't have the problem before I started doing burnouts (trap speed didn't change that much).

Do you have a linelock? I am having one installed thinking it might help by not getting the rear brakes so hot and causing the brakes to float. I may have to upgrade my rotors too if it doesn't help. My trap speeds should be 4 or 5 MPH over what they were (should be 119 or 120 now), so I gotta do something.

What is the cause of the ABS inop coming in? Mine did it with ET Streets on the rear and stock 17" on the front. Now I have skinnies on the front and ET Streets on the rear - is it gonna still come in?

if your front tires are a large diameter difference from the rear it will set the abs inop code.. i cant confirm that that will affect stopping distance in a non lockup situation.

pretty sure my problem is the pads i've been running, recently read that vgx pads, stop great at low speeds, but are terrible under long hard braking and glaze quickly at high temps. hopefully switching to these hawks will make a noticeable difference just there.

if you dont allready have stainless brake lines i would get the package deal from thunder for 589, all rotors, all pads, brake fluid, and steel lines.

i basically got that package, no fluid or steel lines, and upgraded to the pro stop version of the rotor.

the rotors individually are like 90 each for rear and 120 each for front

How do these pro stops compare to the sure stops I've seen for sale?

i dunno what sure stops are, i think there is a raybestos sure stop pad, but im talking about a powerslot pro-stop as being the kind of rotor.

they stop just as well as the regular powerslots, and have rows of dimples in them

the pads are hawk hps
