I am pretty sure Roofer Dave has a PTC as well...

They are great to deal with and are very fair price wise!

I've been told that when you have so much money into a setup that you can't afford not to finish off a weekend because of little crap that's when you go bolt together. You can fully service the converter at the track.

Don't know if it's true or not.

Funny how the same names come up in the racing circles.

I run a neil chance bolt together in my car. The nice thing is you can always take it apart to change the stall or clean it out if your transmission lets go.

Neal chance is the best in my opinion. Also had good experience with a custom built ATI.

Never ran a PTC in my own car but I've heard good things.

.

I use Coan's, welded for mild stuff, bolt together for the big power. I'm in Chicago, so they are close enough to drive down in an emergency.

As said, we are switching to bolt together for tunability at the track. If you travel and the track sucks, you tighten it up. Plus I only spray when I'm not quick enough to qualify, so instead of buying 2, @ $1500-2000 (non-adjustable), we use 1 @ $2500(adjustable).

Neil Chance stuff is clearly the best, all the major class racers run their products and they know build converters that hold together, but I went PTC because it's the best turbo converter I found (Brian Macy, Brady have run them) for under $1000.

I used to have a PTC convertor,as a matter of fact my old PTC convertor is for sale.

I use a Neal Chance bolt together convertor now and I'm thinking it going to work better than the PTC.

If I could get an engine to last more than a couple passes I'll see how good it really is.

You get what you pay for and the converter is no place to skimp. Ultimate is the best in my opinion. Running N/A with his power adder converter I went 1.36 60ft. When I switched from a Vig I dropped .2 and 600rpm through the traps. For N/A I run a 8in ATI that is just a monster and 60fts' 1.29-1.30 all day
