Saturday Nights at the track are better then Friday Nights in Texas. At most of the tracks that I race at, they have TNT along with their bracket Programs. This may work better for ya.

I understand what the original poster said...you just have to pick the right day to go to your local track, and some people live farther away than others. I guess I am just a lucky one, I live about 15 minutes away from HRP, it only cost $15 to race on Sundays and lately you could probably easily get 10 runs in from 5:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. But I hear fridays are more packed and also our local track has a sport compact night on Thursdays, which is good then maybe the ricers wont show up as often on the weekends.

Just pointing out a few things, I love watching both and have participated in both. And no matter who says what, I still believe the 1/4 mile from a standing start is the best test of a production car's acceleration, as it showcases thier grip off the line, as well as thier top end acceleration (as shown thru the ET as well as trap speed). In the 1/8th traction matters too much, while in the 1/2 mile its too hard to spectate, find suitable locations for tracks, and aerodynamics mean too much.

I am one who loves any type of auto racing. I love to watch NASCAR and drag racing on TV, but when it comes to what I decided to set my car up for it was for 1/4 mile "strait" racing, but I know it is fun to be able to do 90 around a corner without problems. I just didn't like this guys attitude basicly ******* drag racing all together it seemed.
I don't think anybody "dogged" you, your car, or how you choose to race. It was just an opinion, and that's it.It was as usual, blown way out of proportion, to mean soemthing else, than what it was intended. I can surf any forum I choose even though I don't have any active interest in it's subject matter. There are some creative solutions, to reducing a cars weight, that's posted in these forums, that I have used. You got no attitude from me, I just sympathized with the post originator, and threw in my two cents, about what I thought in relation of what he said. This is all I'm going to say on this.
I never worried about things like that before, but never had any bad luck on Saturday nights!Derek
